We have an atypical point of view from many comparable businesses. Several years ago, I found myself single again. I didn't like it. I sat probing through hundreds (if not thousands) of photos and profiles. At the other end waited my future wife. She was sifting through hundreds of e-mails from men around the world. One magical day in 2003, I stumbled across my Alla's photo and profile. I was truly taken by her smile and beautiful words. I signed up for a membership and began to compose my first letter to her. Within a few days, I had her answer. She told me that my letter stood out from the others as, she considered, I wrote from my heart.
We wrote for six months before I decided I, truly, had to meet her for real. I bought my airline tickets, arranged for a tourist visa, packed my things, and off I went. Of course, all the way, along the long flight, I wondered... Is she for real? Will this girl really be waiting for me at the airport? Did I just toss away a lot (I mean, a LOT) of money over the past year? What if...? What if...? What if...? Well, I landed in Kazan' almost one year from our first letter and, POOF! All my worries seemed to vanish as there she stood. There she was looking better than I had ever imagined. Her smile was brighter than any photo could do justice to.
After two more years of corresponding and two more meetings (each longer then the previous), I decided to stay with her. Now, we are together. I was very glad I put a little (okay, a LOT of) faith and trust into this delicate process. It worked for us with only a few kinks every now and then. But we have come to understand this is not always the situation. Many gentlemen and ladies have reported stories quite different from ours. Some tales quite terrible!
